Roots to Branches Club

Research on your family history or looking for an elusive ancestor? Then our Roots to Branches Club is for you.

Running out of the Selkirk branch, this club brings together enthusiastic amateur genealogists who cooperate on research projects. Experienced library staff support the club by sharing tips on little-known databases, research methods, and how to move past hurdles.

Newcomers to the hobby will have the opportunity to draw on the knowledge of more experienced genealogists.  

Roots to Branches Club meetings

The club meets at the Selkirk branch on the last Saturday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 
No registration is required.

All meetings begin with a short discussion or demonstration of a research tip, technique or database. Followed by general discussions on member questions or challenges.

If you own your own laptop, we encourage you to bring it with you to utilize our in-house subscription to Ancestry.com.
