2026 Summer Programs

Registration for 2026 Library Summer Programs and
the TD Summer Reading Program Opens Monday June 22nd!

Check back at the end of May to see all the fun activities coming to your local library branch. 

Dive In! to summer fun at your local library branch! 

This summer, children ages 3 and up are invited to DIVE IN! and experience new and faraway places at their local library branch. 

Each branch will be offering a variety of activities and programs including parties, crafts, StoryTimes, games, and much more.  

Registration for all library programs is necessary and must be done in person at the library branch.  

Branch-wide programs

TD Children's Summer Reading Club

(For ages 0 to 12)

Children ages 0 to 12 can register to participate in the TD Summer Reading Club for free. 

Participants will receive a ballot for every library book they read (or that is read to them) throughout the summer. They can then enter these ballots into the end-of-summer draws for a chance to win cash or other prizes. Only library books are eligible for ballots.

Registration is necessary and must be done in person at your local library branch. 

The last day to submit ballots and the date of the prize draws will be posted in each branch. Please note that participants can only receive and enter their ballots in the branch they registered at.

In addition to the end-of-summer draws, special items from the Library’s treasure chests can be selected by participants for every 15 library books read.

Teen Summer Reading Club

(For ages 13 to 18)

Youth ages 13 to 18 can sign up for the Teen Summer Reading program.

Participants will receive a ballot for every library book they read throughout the summer. These ballots will be entered into the end-of-season draws for a chance to win one of several cash prizes.

Registration is necessary and must be done in-person at your local library branch. Participation is free.

 The last day to bring in ballots and the date of the draw will be posted in the library branch.

*Note: Participants are expected to read library items at their reading level. If they are found to be cheating they will de disqualified*

 

Colouring Contest

(For ages 0 to 13)

Adding to all the fun and excitement, each library branch will also be hosting a summer-long coloring contest for children ages 0 to 13. Colouring contest pages will be available at each library branch. 

The last day to return colouring contest sheets will be posted in all library branches and on the Library’s website.

Children's Entertainer: Club Rex

(For ages 3 and up)

Ages: 3 and Up
Cost: FREE

Club Rex offers hands-on access to museum quality dinosaur fossils,  skulls, teeth, claws and much more!

Learn all about these amazing creatures, like what they looked like, how they moved, what they ate and much much more.
